The Year of Engineering is a government campaign to inspire young people to become the engineers of the future and address the current skills gap in the engineering world. Not enough young people are pursuing a career in engineering, because they think it’s not for them or their skills don’t match that of an engineer. Many young people don’t realise that a career in engineering is exciting, rewarding and creative. They also don’t realise the breadth of the fields of engineering that exist. EPLAN is excited to support the Year of Engineering in its endeavour to raise of awareness of careers in engineering!
Throughout the year, we will be sharing experiences from our engineers. They will share their stories from working in engineering and show how engineering has impacted their lives, and the lives of EPLAN customers. Let’s meet the team:
Andy Mutch – Professional Services Consultant. Specialises in EPLAN Electric P8 and EPLAN Harness proD (a solution for the efficient design and documentation of cables and wire harnesses in 2D and 3D). Also delivers training, installations and standardisation.
John Boynton – Senior Consultant. Specialises in EPLAN Electric P8, EPLAN Fluid (an engineering tool for the automated design and documentation of circuits in fluid power installations in hydraulics, pneumatics, cooling and lubrication) and EPLAN Pro Panel (the software-based engineering solution for design and construction of control cabinets, switchboards and flexible power distribution systems for the power supply in 3D). Also delivers training, installations and standardisation.
Graham Bloom – Senior Professional Services Consultant. Specialises in EPLAN Electric P8, EPLAN Fluid and EPLAN Pro Panel. He also delivers training, installations and standardisation.
David Ebenezer – Professional Services Engineer. Specialises in training.
Zahra Lazim – Global Technical Support Manager. Specialises in supporting customers through the support helpline.
Oliver Buckle – Applications Engineer. Specialises in installations, customer support and drop-in visits.
