Extensive engineering projects often entail sorting, filtering, copying and numerically processing large volumes of data. X-Tools for EPLAN allow you to simplify the handling and maintenance of mass data considerably! An interface to Microsoft Excel offers a wide range of functions providing helpful, user-friendly support.
X-Parts – For component database editing
X-Parts facilitates automated, bidirectional component data exchange between EPLAN and Excel. The material data may be edited within the spreadsheet structure. Sorting, filtering, copying, comparing and exchanging is achieved in next to no time with Excel.
X-BOM – For editing project bills of materials
With X-BOM, project-specific component data is transferred to Excel. The component fields for the quantity, component number, manufacturer information, part type and functional group may be edited on a project-wide basis. Afterwards, amendments to the respective component position are written back to EPLAN.
X-Language – For foreign language conversion
With X-Language, language databases may be exported from EPLAN to Excel, edited and translated. X-Language contains translation tables with the ASCII/ANSII of the country codes needed for the EPLAN character sets. The languages are read back into EPLAN independently from the character set table used in Excel.
X-PLCChange – For editing the PLC properties
X-PLCChange is used to edit the editable fields of the PLC end terminal (address, symbolic address, additional field) and the function text of the circuit diagram pages and PLC overview pages.
X-Project – For project administration
With X-Project, project administration is transferred from EPLAN to Excel. In this way, administration of the projects can be conducted conveniently in Excel, independently from the typical EPLAN representation. Within the projects, it is possible to search using filters on the basis of customers, project names, date of revision or project managers. To edit the projects, EPLAN or EPLAN VIEW may be launched directly from within Excel.
